Dan Hill
“My name is Dan Hill and I am the President of Hillson Homes”.
I provide guidance for the employees of our company as well as its general direction and policies. I look after the finances, human resources and various other areas of our operations. In these roles, I draw on experiences from my professional engineering background as well as many self taught skills. I make a concerted effort to continually learn and increase my knowledge in order to contribute to the advancement of the company and its people.
My primary goal is providing customers with a seamless building process using the highest quality products and newest technologies. Ensuring our company operates efficiently, professionally and honestly is my promise to our customers.
I enjoy playing hockey and golfing, watching mixed martial arts and playing the odd video game with my two boys.
Keri-Dawn Hill
Working for a company that prides itself on quality workmanship is important to me. I have just recently taken on the role of selection coordinator at Hillson Homes, and with this new role I promise to work hard so that your building experience is memorable. I am a University of Calgary graduate with a B.A. in Psychology, and a Master in Teaching. I was also an active member of the Dinos women’s soccer program for five years.
I can often be found running along the river, on the soccer pitch, or at the hockey rink watching my two boys.
Brian Hill
After working for one of the largest and best run construction companies Nu West Homes in the early seventies, I decided to incorporate my own construction company in 1974. Since that time Hill Construction and Consulting Services Ltd. has built custom acreage homes, subdivision homes, and even some commercial ventures including the Kananaskis golf course Pro shop, Tournament Pavilion and the Lorette Snack Shack.
From the beginning our mantra was “build this home as if it were your own house”. We have always based our construction business on a partnership model, with our homeowners being the most important part of that relationship. Our goal has always been to make the building experience a happy and fulfilling one, designed to build the family’s dream home and in the process gain a friend for life. Years later, I am still in touch with many of my homeowners and they all say the same thing “we loved your attention to our every need, your quality of workmanship, your accessibility, honesty and integrity. We could rest at night knowing that our home was in good hands”. Because of these relationships, we have never advertised in the usual manner. Rather we have relied on positive word of mouth advertising from our new friends.
Being in the home building has afforded me the opportunity to include my family in the business, something which gives me a great deal of satisfaction.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling as well as many athletic pursuits. I run marathons, play hockey, golf, baseball as well as track and field. Church and family activities have always added a balance in my life especially now with grand children.
Mike Kaminski
“Hi, my name is Mike Kaminski, and I am a project manager at Hillson Homes”.
I joined the Hillson team in 2007, bringing with me 6 years of experience in the residential construction industry as a carpenter. In my first few years at Hillson Homes I mentored under Brian Hill and completed the Professional Site Manager Certification at the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta. I am also an accredited PHBIA Moisture Control Technician. In an ever changing industry I am dedicated and enthusiastic about staying current on the latest building science and sustainability practices.
As a project manager at Hillson Homes, I am able to combine my experience and education with my detailed organizational skills and outgoing personality to build excellence and customer satisfaction into every home. Relationships are an integral part of the construction process and one of the most enjoyable aspects of my job.
I live an active lifestyle enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, diving, golf and volleyball, but not always in that order.
Dave Hill
Hi! My name is Dave Hill and my official position is carpenter for Hillson Homes
I have been actively involved in construction for over 36 years and perform many tasks at Hillson Homes. I have a great deal of knowledge as it pertains to framing and therefore I am responsible for performing final framing checks along with any changes required. I approach every job with the same philosophy, to use my years of experience and knowledge of building codes to provide a quality product, never cutting corners. I take great pride in always keeping a safe and clean work site. As a certified site manager I also perform the role of site superintendant when required. I like to think I’m very approachable and always welcome questions from homeowners making sure to get back to them with an answer in short order.
Some of my interests include fishing, softball, cycling and walking to keep fit.
